Ghent Workgroup welcomes CHILI publish as newest member

The Ghent Workgroup represents the entire PDF community including industry associations, vendor and industry members. CHILI publish are now joining as a vendor member and thereby commit to fully supporting and incorporating the Ghent Workgroup Specifications into their solution offering.

As a reputed international community of industry leaders across Europe and the US, the Ghent Workgroup consistently produces numerous process specifications for PDF exchange, and tools for automating processes and testing to establish consistent PDFs.

Just recently the Ghent Workgroup has released its milestone GWG2015 PDF Specification for print and packaging production. Based on ISO PDF/X standards, it describes file settings and workflow processing requirement to achieve the highest quality production and exchange efficiency of PDF files. This is developed by and with the GWG members during several committees, and afterwards implemented throughout their solutions and workflow processes.

Kevin Goeminne, CEO of CHILI publish, comments: “We are really proud to join the Ghent Workgroup who has done some important ground and legwork the past few years to standardize PDF across the industry. We have greatly benefited from their market expertise in the development of our innovative CHILI rendro solution for high-res online rendering of PDF files. The interaction with GWG experts and members has been of great value for the integration of CHILI rendro with other vendor platforms.”

David Zwang, Chairman, Ghent Workgroup, concludes: “With the addition of such important vendors in the graphic arts industry, we have again strengthened the Ghent Workgroup’s position and widened our reach. We strive to engage everyone in the industry to fully comply with our PDF Specifications, workflow validation tools and best practices, from vendor to association to printer and brand owner. This way we can ensure the alignment of quality PDF production and publishing throughout the entire value chain and process.”
